Jazz is an incredibly special pony who has been a huge part of our family for the last 3 1/2 years. She has taught Aemilia so much and given her some wonderful memories — but is now completely outgrown and with additional school and sporting commitments we do not have time to do her justice.
I love this pony enormously, and finding Jazz the right home is far more important to us than finding a quick sale. We are looking for a genuine 5⭐️ home where she will be loved, fussed, enjoyed and very much part of the family.
✨ ABOUT JAZZ
Jazz is a fast, fun, forward little pony with brakes and a fantastic personality. She is responsive, athletic and loves having a job to do.
She is 100% to hack — alone or in company, first or last. Happy to stand when others go off for a gallop. She happily goes through open fields, woods, on the beach and on the road. She absolutely loves a good gallop, but always comes back and will happily return to a relaxed, buckle-end ride. She can jog on the way home, but this has never phased Aemilia. She has never reared or bolted.
Jazz is not a “kick-along” type of pony. She is sensitive and responsive and needs kind, sympathetic hands and a confident rider. She has given Aemilia a wonderfully secure seat and taught her to ride with softness and feel.
I would not describe Jazz as suitable for a nervous or very inexperienced child. Whilst not 'spooky' she is quick, fun and forward and needs a rider who enjoys that type of pony.
🏇 WHAT WOULD SUIT HER PERFECTLY?
I would absolutely love to see Jazz go to someone who wants to have all round fun with her rather than jumping.
She has done Pony Club rallies and camps, EGUK camps, hunter trials, tetrathlons, beach rides, fancy dress and plenty more.PC games would be absolutely perfect for her! She's fast, responsive & turns on a sixpence.
She is also lovely to lead out and would make a fantastic little nanny/companion for hacking — but she is not for a jumping home. She can become anxious in a jumping arena and can put in a dirty stop. She moves beautifully, really floaty paces.
💗 HER QUALITIES
• Easy to catch and look after • Can be left for weeks and comes back exactly the same • Very affectionate and loves attention • Used to dogs, cats, pigs, sheep, cows, tractors, helicopters etc. and never phase d • Currently barefoot (has been for the past year) but was shod in front when in a lot of work •Moves beautifully
Currently in her winter woollies and quite unfit, as Aemilia has had little time to exercise her.
Jazz must live with other horses, but she will happily come in on her own. She has only been turned out with geldings since we've had her and has been fantastic — including nannying my young TB.
Not so good bits!
Jazz isn't keen on clipping and requires sedation.
She has done a lot of jumping in the past and I feel has gone sour in the arena. she will happy jump a log when out hacking, however we don't want her sold to someone intending to jump her a lot.
She is a sensitive, forward little pony who thrives with a kind, confident rider. She is safe with brakes, but she is fast and fun, and that needs to be appreciated.
Jazz is genuinely one of those ponies who has become part of the family. Everyone adores her, and this is not a sale we are taking lightly. I very loosely advertised her last year, but couldn't part with her.
We want a home where she will be loved, fussed, enjoyed and kept busy doing the things she loves. She is completely wasted with us now due to lack of time and she has so much more to give.
We would absolutely love her to go to someone we know or through a trusted recommendation.
