FANTASTIC HUNTING COB / ALLROUNDER
15.2hh, 5yo (2021), Irish Cob Gelding in the UK. Bill is a fun & forward hunting cob & he's started his second season with us with the EDH. He's attended multiple busy meets, always standing politely for a port & a pasty. He's been brilliant with hounds & he enjoys watching them work. He's mannerly in the field & he's proven bold to various hunt fences. Bill is always happy to wait his turn but he’s up for the job at hand. He'll ride away on point or turn away from the field at the end of the day without a single fuss. He's polite enough to ride at the back but equally he has no trouble keeping up at the front. Bill knows exactly what’s expected of him & he's a fantastic hunting horse. He's also been SJ training & XC schooling, showing a bold & forward thinking attitude. He’s regularly used as a lead for inexperienced horses. He's shown the potential to have a competitive low level summer job with the right education! So far Bill has been educated in the importance of standing still at the pub!! He's attended multiple pleasure rides, remaining level headed throughout the day & unfazed by his surroundings. He's also been on beach & moorland rides, he loved swimming in the sea & he's been used to lead young inexperienced horses on their first outings. Bill is BRILLIANT fun to ride & he's looking for someone who loves having fun as much as he does!
Bill is regularly ridden alone & in company, we've used him to accompany our children on their pony & we've also ridden him with the breakers on their first rides. He's regularly ridden in heavy traffic & open spaces - he’s an exceptional hack & he's pretty unflappable for his age! He's a gentleman to handle on the ground & we’ve found him to be a very easy person to have around. He'll stand to be clipped from his ear to his hoof. He's good for the farrier & he's always the first at the gate in the morning.
