With only foundation stallions in a row in his pedigree and bred out of the famous Landsvrouw damline, Merlot is genetically a highly interesting stallion for dressage breeding.
he is now a competitor to psg/inter 1 level and is tipped for the top.
Merlot's sire Bordeaux is one of the up-and-coming top sires; the stallion performed at Grand Prix level with both Isabel Freese and Akane Kuroki and combines the genes of Krack C-son United with the top sires Gribaldi, Donnerhall and Rousseau. Merlot's grandsire Florencio I is also considered one of the best sires of his generation with at least 35 offspring performing at Grand Prix level. Great-grandsire Vivaldi can be seen among the most influential dressage stallions of the past decades, with offspring such as Dream Boy, Desperado N.O.P., Cennin, Expression and many others.
The damline of premium stallion Merlot also produced many successful dressage horses. Dam Hyacinth-Vrouwe is a provisionally awarded ‘Keur’ mare out of the ‘Preferent’ mare Dolce Vita Vrouwe – the dam of the KWPN approved stallion Incognito. Great-great-granddam Mimosavrouwe is the dam of the world famous Glock's Undercover N.O.P .; Edward Gal's top dressage horse, winning team bronze at the London Olympics in 2012 and team gold at the European Championships in Aachen in 2015 as well as team silver at the European Championships in Herning in 2013.
This guys damline complements his breeding too with the presence of the legendary weltmeyer and donnerhall.
his dams sibling “Fritz” (floriscount) is a competitor to PSG/inter 1 with Julia gafni.
his own sibling “linosso” (Laurie’s crusador ) is also a competitor to inter 1 level with Esther Mortimore
he is a super mover with three very good paces and a natural jumper too !
sort hard found .
