Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 3, 2026. Stashly (“we”, “us”) operates the Stashly website at stashly.market and the Stashly iOS and Android apps (together, the “Services”). This policy describes how we handle personal information when you use the Services.

Information we collect

  • Account data: such as email, display name, and profile details you choose to provide (e.g. address, phone number for buyer/seller contact).
  • Listing content: descriptions, photos, videos, prices, and hobby metadata you submit when buying, selling, or cataloguing items. The mobile apps may access your camera, photo library, or microphone when you add media to a listing.
  • Location: when you allow it, the mobile apps may read your device’s approximate or precise location (while the app is in use) to sort listings by distance from you. We do not use location for background tracking.
  • Push notification tokens: on supported devices, we may store a device push token (for example an Expo or Apple/Google push token) so we can send you notifications you enable, such as messages or listing activity. You can deny or later revoke notification permission in system settings.
  • Device and region: such as device or browser type, operating system, app version, IP address, and device region/locale used to show relevant market defaults. We also use cookies or similar technologies on the website needed to run the Services and keep them secure.
  • Messaging: if you use features that send SMS or WhatsApp messages (e.g. share listing or listing-related notifications), your phone number and message content may be processed by our messaging providers (such as Twilio) solely to deliver those communications.

How we use information

We use the above to operate the marketplace, authenticate users, show listings, deliver notifications you enable, improve the Services, comply with law, prevent abuse, and communicate with you about your account or transactions you initiate. Where you consent, we also use data to measure site traffic and to show third-party advertising on the website.

Advertising and affiliate links

Stashly may show third-party ads (for example through Google AdSense) on catalog pages on the website. Ad partners may use cookies and similar technologies to deliver and measure ads; this is separate from us selling your personal information to data brokers. Some outbound links on catalog pages are affiliate links — if you purchase through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Sharing

We share information with service providers who help us host the app, store data, send email, SMS/WhatsApp, or push notifications where you use those features, process payments if applicable, measure analytics, and deliver advertising where you have consented. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

Retention

We retain information as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services and meet legal obligations. You may delete your account from Settings in the website or mobile app, subject to any legal holds or legitimate business needs.

Your choices

  • Update profile and listing data through your account where the product allows.
  • Control location and notification permissions in your device settings. Denying them may limit distance-based sorting or push notifications.
  • Use browser settings to limit cookies; some website features may not work without them.
  • Delete your account and personal data from Settings → Delete account while signed in, or see our Delete your data page for Facebook-initiated deletion and other options.
  • Contact us (see Contact) for other privacy-related requests, where applicable in your region.

Deleting your data

While signed in, open Settings and choose Delete account. That archives your listings, removes your member profile from browse and search, signs you out, and prevents further sign-in with that account. You can also remove Stashly from your Facebook account (if you signed in with Facebook) or email us from your account address. Details, including how Facebook sends us automated deletion requests and how to check status, are on our Delete your data page.

International users

If you access the Services from outside the country where we operate servers, your information may be transferred and processed in those locations.

Changes

We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised policy.
