We have discovered that a drawback to using woodchip as a surface, if it doesn’t get enough use, is that it starts to rot down in pockets. This creates very uneven going for the horses.
Using a heavy grading tool does help, and we’ll be getting the roller on the surface soon, which should help with the “squishy spots”.
And Nick gets to feel like he has earned a sit down to watch the rugby as well! Win - win!
