Here’s a special one for you all… Crown Prince The ultimate all rounder- for any aspiring bridleless, working equitation, jumping or eventing riders! I have not had one viewing for Prince which has really surprised me as he is an exceptional and talented horse. What is going on with the market at the moment? 6yo 15.2 Dapple Grey Spanish Sports horse (Born in the UK) High fours beginning with nine Denholme, West Yorkshire One of the most versatile horses I’ve ever met, Prince will do anything you ask of him with a great attitude and he will suit a wide range of homes. He’s what I would describe as a laid back ride without being lazy as he happily picks it up when asked. He’s trained to ride in a neck rope and also happily goes in a snaffle. He has a really nice jump on him, great brakes and he hacks alone and in company. He is easy to ride and is an absolute gentleman to handle and manage on the ground. Jumping Jumping single fences up to 95cm currently, with scope to progress. Showjumping outing scheduled next weekend if not gone before. Fairly new to jumping but proving to be honest and balanced and whilst keen, he doesn’t fizz up excessively before or after a fence. Will jump from a bad stride and corrects his leads well. Has started gridwork and is jumping small courses at 80cm with plenty of room to progress. HUGE potential for his new owner to progress further. Bridleless Trained both in just a neck rope and rope halter. Schooling prelim dressage tests at home completely tackless. Has schooled beautifully tackless over small jumps, always remaining rideable and adjustable. Excellent steering, brakes, balance and transitions. Quick learner with huge potential for liberty and bridleless competition. Schooling Established but not over-produced. Easy transitions with collected paces. Been to an arena hire and behaved exceptionally well. Well established walk to canters and exceptional brakes. Has started learning lead changes. Responsive to voice aids. Enjoys learning and thrives on variety. Does not yet work consistently in an outline but has an excellent attitude and always tries to please. Has taken part in a relaxed “fun show”, both ridden and in hand, including being handled by a 6yo child around other horses. Hacking Hacks alone or in company. Great in traffic and open spaces. Prince is not a spooky type. Has been hacked out independently across open country by a 9year old boy Snaffle mouthed. Happy to lead or follow. Can get fizzy behind in open spaces but never stupid. Equally happy to go out on a quiet plod alone or a faster paced group hack. Management Easy to catch, load, travel and for the farrier, vet and dentist. Often approaches you in the field. Ties quietly and stables well. Happy living in or out. Doesn’t stress when left alone in the field or in the stable Turns out in a mixed herd happily and keeps himself to himself with no issues. No vices. Up to date with farrier and dentist with no concerns. Barefoot and always has been. Vaccinations require restarting. Personality Kind, genuine, “in your pocket” type and seems to prefer people to other horses! Loves attention and enjoys working with his rider/ handler. Laid back ride but will step it up when asked to. Cheeky and loveable character with a willing attitude. He has such a funny personality and is always in your business . Very intelligent horse but not sharp or stupid with it. He will go really far, I have no doubts about it. Ideal Home Competent teenager. Mother and daughter share. Working equitation or aspiring bridleless rider. Genuine family all rounder. He won’t be going to a complete novice, but he is absolutely suitable for a novice to ride and he has been ridden by a 9yo child bareback in a field in just a headcollar and behaved impeccably. History Home bred and UK passported. Same home since birth before coming to me on livery to find him his new person. Only available due to his owner retaining other pure bred homebreds. Has a cosmetic cold & set splint on his front right leg, doesn’t affect him in any way but is reflected in his . Has a couple of small, white hair scars on his legs from old minor field injuries as he has always lived in a large mixed herd with other young horses. Purely cosmetic. Never been sick or sorry a day in his life. Good doer- holds his weight well. An exceptional horse who will make someone very happy, a couple of my riders have begged me to keep him - he’s very much loved and it’s clear to see why! Open to viewings and vettings.
