ONE COOL GIRL 12.2hh | Mare | 14 years old Based in Wales, Pembrokeshire Ice is truly one epic pony, shes smart and genuine pony who loves her job. She is a lovely mare, she hasnt got a nasty bone in her i wouldnt say she acts like your typical mareish mare. She is a true yard favourite and a proper competition type pony!! Ice currently lives out 24/7 in the summer and she comes in at night during the winter seasons. She is good on the ground, to load and travel. There isnt much she spooks at and shes amazing on the roads hacking, ive taken her past a group of motorbikes before and she didnt bat an eyelid. She is well behaved, has good manners both on the ground and ridden. Her vocal commands are brilliant. She is nice and easy on the lunge for you aswell. She wouldnt suit a novice rider, ice needs a confident and knowledgeable rider who knows what they are doing. Ice does get a bit restless when being bathed and normally needs someone comforting her whilst being washed. Ice absolutely loves to jump, wether its show jumping or cross country she loves it! She is a forward pony to jump and can sometimes get a bit strong but its easily managed. One thing i will be honest about is that in the school, when you ask for canter, she has been known to buck going into the transition or during the canter, but with a confident rider im sure she can easily overcome this. Ice could make a fabulous hunting pony or potential mounted games pony. Her main focus has been showjumping but with the right rider i have no doubt she would go far in any discipline! Out hacking she is good as gold. She is normally kept at the front of the ride if shes in a group as i find she gets restless and stressy if shes behind other horses. Shes good to hack out alone, can be a bit unsure leaving the yard by herself but once shes out shes happy and goes well. She has also had suspected lami last month. She was on box rest for 4/5 days with soaked hay every morning and every night, luckily we caught it very quickly in its early stages. we now have her on a prone to laminitis feed and we keep her on restricted grass in her field by sectioning her field off. Ice will come with her tack (saddle, pony pad and bridle) and she will come with her rugs aswell. She is a lovely pony ready to go and have fun with a new rider. No time wasters, no joyriders, no happy hackers. This sale is incredibly difficult for me and my family and the decision was not an easy one to make.
