Full/Part Loan – Sapphy (To stay at current yard SY4 3) Sadly, we are looking for a full or part loan for our much-loved mare, Sapphy, to stay at our lovely yard in the SY4 3 area. Sapphy is an 9-year-old, 12hh cob-type mare with the sweetest nature. She has been the perfect lead rein pony for my daughter and has given her so many wonderful experiences. She has attended Pony Club rallies and pony camp, where she behaved impeccably and didn’t put a foot wrong. She’s also been on farm rides, happily going off the lead rein and taking everything in her stride. Out hacking, Sapphy is a pleasure. She will happily go first or last, hacks alone or in company, and isn’t spooky or silly. She’s sensible and enjoys getting out and about. Sapphy absolutely loves jumping! Although we haven’t done a huge amount with her due to focusing on her flatwork, she’s always been bold over fences when led and has never stopped at a jump. She has lots of potential for someone wanting to develop her confidence further. The reason for the loan is simply that Sapphy is proving a little too much as a first-ridden for my 7-year-old daughter. There is absolutely nothing nasty about her—she’s just a typical sassy mare who occasionally likes to do things on her own terms. In the school, she’ll happily work in walk and trot, ride circles, and trot over poles. However, when she’s decided she’s done enough, she can plant her feet and would rather go anywhere but forwards. Put her back on the lead rein and she’ll carry on as though nothing has happened. She needs a confident little rider, or an experienced family, who can quietly work through this and bring out the best in her. We genuinely believe Sapphy would make a fantastic lead rein pony or second pony for the right home. She has so much to offer and deserves to continue having fun with a family who suits her stage of education. We’re looking for a full or part loan for her to remain at our fantastic yard in the SY4 3 area. The yard has an outdoor arena, excellent hacking, and a friendly atmosphere.
