When Hugo’s friend came to ride recently, Lady Blue was the horse we trusted most for them to go off hacking across huge open spaces, which speaks volumes about her sensible nature. Lady Blue hasn’t done a great deal of schooling or jumping, so she is still green in those areas. However, she has a willing attitude and is always eager to learn. On the ground she is a lovely, straightforward mare. She is easy to catch, good in and out of the stable, and is equally happy living out with company or on her own. She can be nervous about having her back legs picked up but I’m sure with time and patience she’ll be fine with it, we just dont have the time here. She is absolutely great with her front legs. Lady Blue has no recorded breeding in her Irish passport, just a plain maroon identification one.
