"Baron" Chestnut Gelding All Rounder

Baron is a 15hh polo pony chestnut gelding.

We got Baron two years ago to play polo on. When we got Baron we were told he was strong - this is true!! Baron played polo to a high level so even in his old age he can get wound up and be strong in open spaces!

Baron has been so helpful for us as an easy hack to nanny other horses on /lead horses off / as a low level polo pony. We actually hunted him about 5 days with a drag hound pack last year - he was fine with the hounds and other horses and was even happy to pop a couple of rails...he was very strong though...

Baron has been good to us and we want him to find a nice easy home. Baron is an easy horse to handle but not for a total novice.

Baron is the perfect horse for someone who wants to potter around and hack to the pub on - like any polo pony he stands like a dream!
Baron is good for the farrier, easy to clip, lives in and out, and loads fine although sometimes he likes to stand at the bottom of the ramp and have a think. When we got him we were told he could be footy but we've always kept him shod and he's been fine. We've never had the vet out for him!

Baron currently shares a field with a mare and previously we've had him out with geldings. He is fat from his winter off but has shoes on and is back out hacking.
