Raspy River Stingrays

Raspy River Stingrays for sale I’ve decided to trim my scobina group down as I’ve had a move round and the tank they’re in is too small for 7 adults. This means I have this trio available. This species is not only one of the smallest species within the genus Potamotrygon it also has the shortest gestation period, approximately 75-80 days. These are prolific breeders guys, one male will mate several females, they have between 4 and 7 pups at a time. I have two pairs that I’m keeping, the amount of pups they produce is enough for me to be dealing with given all the other rays I keep and work with. The male is approximately 10” and the females are approximately 13”. These rays can be safely kept with Geophagus, large Angels, Large Discus etc without fear of predation, in my opinion it’s the only ray this can be done with in the longer term, they have a incredibly low prey drive as far as rays go. Food consists of mainly pellets, Hikari and sturgeon varieties, they also take chopped mussel and whitebait, very strong feeders. Still a relatively uncommon Stingray in our hobby today.
