Non-OE Black or Yellow Neocaridina

So I'm wanting to make a nice tank and I want to get a black and yellow shrimp colony. Does anyone know how much they cost? Non-OE Black or Yellow Neocaridina are usually around $10 or less each from a local shop. I generally recommend starting with 8–10 shrimp to establish a colony. One thing to keep in mind: mixing color strains will eventually ruin the genetics of the colony. Within 12–18 months, you'll typically end up with mostly brown, blotchy, clear, or wild-type shrimp. A basic setup for a single colony runs about $150, including the tank, substrate, air pump, and light. As for filtration, I don't run commercially purchased filters on my shrimp tanks. My tanks are filterless, crystal clear, and extremely stable. Hold for the inevitable naysayers—I'm sure a few will show up after this post to tell me why it can't work. Total cost= under $300 with shrimp Xs 1 colony only.
