WANTED: Green Genie 18000 filter

Has anyone put a tap onto a Green Genie 18000 filter? I like the filter but find the emptying and cleaning hard on a sciatic back. I’m thinking of putting a drain tap on the side away from the outlet pipes, this would help drain the sediment. Any thoughts from all you clever pond folk.
