Marine plywood aquarium stand

An aquarium isn't just a decoration… it’s also a matter of safety and durability. The stand beneath your aquarium plays an essential role: it must be perfectly designed to support the weight, resist moisture, and remain stable over time. That’s why I use marine plywood. This material is specifically engineered for humid environments: It won’t warp over time It is rot-proof It withstands both freshwater and saltwater (Medium-Density Fibreboard) and chipboard (melamine)—even those labelled as moisture-resistant—are not suitable for supporting an aquarium in the long run. They eventualy swell, weaken, and can compromise the safety of the entire setup. Granted, marine plywood is more expensive upfront… but it is far better to invest in a reliable stand from the start than to risk serious damage to your aquarium and your home.
