Overview: The Red Tail Tinfoil Barb, known for its striking red fins and shimmering scales, adds vibrant energy to any aquarium. Originating from Southeast Asia, these active schooling fish bring lively movement to freshwater tanks.

Origin: Hailing from the river basins of Thailand, Borneo, and Sumatra, these barbs thrive in warm, well-oxygenated waters with gentle currents.

Feeding: They are omnivorous, relishing a varied diet of high-quality flakes, pellets, and live/frozen foods like bloodworms and brine shrimp. A diverse diet enhances their colors and overall health.

Tank Mates: Peaceful and social, Tinfoil Barbs do best in groups of 5 or more. They coexist harmoniously with other non-aggressive, similarly sized species like tetras, danios, and peaceful cichlids.

Aggression: Typically mild-mannered, occasional territorial behaviors might manifest, especially during breeding periods or in overcrowded tanks. Providing ample space and maintaining a well-balanced environment helps mitigate aggression.

Experience Level: Suitable for aquarists with moderate experience, these barbs are hardy but benefit from conscientious attention to water quality, diet, and tank setup.

Water Parameters: Ideal conditions include a pH range of 6.5-7.5, water temperature between 72-82°F (22-28°C), and a spacious tank with ample swimming room and hiding spots.
