Origin:
Native to Southeast Asia, specifically regions in Thailand, Indonesia, and Myanmar, where it inhabits slow-moving streams, ponds, and rice paddies.
Feeding:
This carnivorous species thrives on a diet of live or frozen foods like bloodworms, small fish, and shrimp. It can also adapt to high-quality pellets but prefers meaty foods.
Tank Mates:
The Golden Limbata Snakehead is best kept in a species-only setup due to its aggressive nature. However, it may cohabit with large, robust tank mates, but this is not recommended for long-term peace.
Aggression:
Highly territorial, especially as it matures, this fish is known for aggression toward other tank mates and will often defend its space fiercely.
